Body wraps

Using body wraps can help you to tighten and tone your skin, reduce and eliminate toxins from your body and treat skin conditions.

Non-surgical procedures such as these can be effective at helping you to shape your body but doesnt actually cause you to lose weight and it is only a short term treatment. Body wraps usually comprise of covering your body in a mineral salt and clay paste and then wrapping your body tightly in warm cotton bandages which have been soaked in the mineral salt and clay solution.

By taking various measurements from all over your body, including the jaw line, upper chest, neckline, waist, abdomen, buttocks, hips, knees, thighs, calves and arms, you can establish how much weight you have lost after the body wrap treatment has been completed.

The salt and clay combination that is used in the body wrap treatment helps to exfoliate the old dead skin and helps to remove tissue waste through detoxifying your body. This process actually helps you to lose weight through tightening and firming your skin. You can apparently lose up to six inches from around your body but no actual weight loss is experienced. Sweating out impurities from your body is the name of the game here.

It is a highly relaxing treatment. The remaining mud is wiped from your body after the treatment is complete and it is advisable to leave the residual clay solution on you for as long as possible after the treatment is finished. This time period is usually recommended for approximately three to four days after the initial treatment. This continues to detoxify and tighten your skin after the first process.

Having completed this part of the process, you are then measured again all over. Your skin will tend to look much healthier, feel tighter, soft and toned after this type of procedure. Although results from this type of procedure are temporary and of purely cosmetic value, it is important to understand that they cannot produce weight loss results and they cannot help you to burn at. It is essential to realise that only through the combination of eating a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet and exercising regularly can you achieve prolonged weight loss and obtain and maintain your ideal weight.
